What's The Coverage Area Of The Wireless Router?

2017.01.06

The wireless transmission distance of the wireless router in pure environment (the ideal environment without barrier and interference) is 100 meters indoors and 300 meters outdoors.

In actual family environment, when the wireless signal goes through the walls, glass, doors, furniture, partitions and other obstacles, these obstacles will attenuate the wireless signal, affecting the wireless transmission distance of the router, where the wall has maximum attenuation of the wireless signal. For example, the wireless signal goes through the ordinary brick wall and is attenuated by 8 ~ 15dB. The terminal wireless signal may be reduced by 1 bar. If it goes through the reinforced concrete wall, it may be attenuated by 15 ~ 30dB, and terminal wireless signal may be reduced by more than 2 bars.1524011802.jpg

After the actual family environment test, a wireless router placed in a suitable location has the following wireless coverage:
1.Single room (one room and one living room): It can be completely covered, and people can gain wireless signal outside the room.

2.Two rooms (two rooms and one living room): It can cover the entire house, and people can gain strong wireless signal in all directions. The signal may be weak in the balcony or the kitchen.

3.Three rooms (three rooms and one living room): The signal is weak or there is no signal in some corners.
If it is a large area (such as duplex buildings, villas), people can use the wireless extender to extend existing wireless signals and increase wireless coverage: According to the house type, reasonably arrange the wireless expander or the wireless router for bridging.
