Wireless ap refers to the wireless network access point which also commonly known as the “hot spots”. The wireless ap is mainly by the routing switch access to connect one-integrated device and pure access point equipment.


Outdoor Wireless AP is mostly applied to big companies for they need many access points to achieve large area network coverage. Meanwhile, those access point belongs to on internet convenient to network administrator do simple implementation of network control and management.


The full name of the wireless ap is an access point and its main function is to convert wire network to wireless network. Wireless ap is compared to the bridge between the wired and wireless networks. The signal coverage of wireless ap is spheroidal. It is better to have it installed at a higher place so as to increase coverage. The wireless ap cannot connect with ADELAIDE and need a switchboard or router as an intermediary.

Tips for Outdoor Wireless AP Engineering Installation


The installation position of outdoor wireless AP should be as high as possible.

Outdoor AP plays the role of hub in wireless network, it is actually a radio network signal transmitting "base station", so its installation position must be selected so as not to affect the stability of the transmission of the whole wireless network signal.

In order to avoid the wireless signal being interfered, when installing the wireless AP, its installation position should be as high as possible. And if there is outdoor antenna, we can make use of the tower to increase the height of the outdoor antenna of the wireless AP to effectively reduce the probability of the movement between the wireless terminal and the AP or fixed obstacles, which  ensure that the coverage range of the wireless AP can be large enough, and the overall communication performance of the wireless network can be greatly improved.

Try to make the signal not go through the wall

If the signal transmitted by outdoor wireless AP go through the walls or it is interfered by some other factors, its communication distance will be greatly reduced.

It is not difficult to see that the signal intensity of wireless communication signals will be greatly reduced when going through metal walls. Therefore, when building a WLAN (wireless local area network) in a building with more than two layers, it is best to install at least one wireless AP in each floor, which ensures that all wireless terminals within this floor can be within the coverage of the wireless AP.
