GPRS MODEM is a kind of Internet transmission terminal where users through GPRS network or GSM network to achieve remote wireless data transmission and interaction. Monitoring and information early warning and forecast is its main application.

Modem GPRS/CDMA is a physical access to the GPRS/CDMA packet network, which does not have an operating system itself. It must be attached to the computer.
Its function is similar to wired Modem and is usually used in combination with PC.

Industrial GPRS modem with small volume, curved aluminum shell, the standard I/O interface and can be directly connected to the serial port. GPRS  is the abbreviation of General Packet Radio Service, It is a mobile data service available to GSM mobile phone users, and it belongs to the data transmission technology in the second generation mobile communication. GPRS can be regarded as the continuation of GSM.  Differing from the previous continuous channel transmission, it is transported in the form of Packet. Therefore, the cost is calculated by its transmission data unit rather than the entire channel, which is theoretically cheaper. The transmission rate of GPRS can be increased to 56 or even 114Kbps
